Disease (dis-ease) and personal imbalances force us to stop and look for the causes. We have to pay attention and can’t run on automatic pilot. When we have to slow down, we actually become AWARE of what we have neglected to tune into for days… perhaps for months. We usually then start to look at our diet… the foods we include and need to change as well as lifestyle patterns. Changing the foods we eat daily to healthy options as well as following regular routine, is only part of the picture. The rest of the picture takes you “beyond” nutrition plans and fitness programs… it reminds us that food is Nature’s gift to us. Being conscious and grateful, while we prepare and make necessary changes, helps create positive memories, new shared traditions as well as healing energies.
